Ian McKenzie’s Event Photography web site is one of a suite of photography web sites being published early in 2009. Each of these sites is different from the others, but they each contain some commonalities. Firstly they will each contain galleries of photographs that have been taken by photographer Ian McKenzie. In the past when a professional photographer took someone’s photo or a series of photos, the person(s) in the photo would either have to order and pay for the photo at the time it was being taken, or arrange to see the “proofs” at a later date.

There is now another solution. With combined interests in graphic arts, web site publishing and hosting, photography and printing, I can photograph an important event and have those photographs published in a special gallery on one of the photo gallery web sites generally within 24 or 48 hours of the event taking place.

There is no need for anyone to make a purchase of prints until they have seen the published photos. The gallery can remain “on air” for several weeks following the event giving plenty of time for everyone to make their decisions regarding prints.

The photographic paper prints produced will be on quality Kodak Enduro Mat paper, and will be silver halide prints, not cheap prints printed with an ink jet printer. The page on this site called Prints will give further information including prices on these products.

In addition to paper prints, I am able to produce enlargements of treasured photos on fine quality Art Canvas. You will not find better quality Art Canvas prints anywhere at the economical prices you will be paying for mine.
